A new trailer and a PlayStation blog post to Horizon Forbidden West have shown that at least five tribes will play an important role in the history of the game, and has shown some political groups with whom they can bond or fight them. Four of the trunks of the Horizon Forbidden West are mentioned by name — the Opera, Carla, Star and Tenth — and a mysterious fifth is also mentioned short.
Opera and Carla will be known to those who played the first game, Horizon Zero Dawn. These factions were the main groups of Zero Dawn's history and will return to Forbidden West.
Two other strains are mentioned in the trailer by name: the star and the tenth. Both trunks are mentioned in Zero Dawn, and there are rare sightings of people from these groups scattered throughout the first game, but in Forbidden West they are both much more likely to occur.
The Star inhabit the area of Plainsong and can be seen in the trailer, as they sing together to heal the land of a red column, which threatens destroy the circulation of life and rebirth.
The Tenth, however, seem to be a hostile tribe. This trunk is also described as clarified in three unique clans, which are now united against a group of Rebels tenth, which seemed to have tamed the machines of the game, led by someone named Shell.
Then there is a mysterious fifth faction described as even more than a Shell and its machine-swinging tenth. Over the currently nameless trunk, it is called in the trailer only: Strangers pass the coast and looking at the outermost edge of the West after secrets.
We will not have a long time to find out who this mysterious trunk is, as the release date of Horizon Forbidden West is only a few weeks ago on 18 February. In addition, the journey through the world of Horizon does not end there yet, because Sony has just introduced Horizon Call of the Mountain for PSV 2.
